The last I checked on Gaudreau, there really hadn’t been a ton. And also same with Monahan.
“I think both players are looking at these big deals that are happening now and they’re not bridge deals anymore. They are long-term deals. You look at Mark Scheifele. You look at Nathan MacKinnon. You look at some of the contracts that have been signed, those players believe they are in that area. In that number. I know if the Flames want to sign those players to long-term deals, the agents have asked for big numbers. So I think it’s still something that’s being grinded away between the two sides.”
