I used to love the Hip, but let me devotion falter about 15 years ago during the height of my music snobbery. I didn't get a ticket because I didn't want to take up space that should go to a diehard fan. But I've been listening to their music a lot lately, and watching videos (like their amazing Woodstock '99 set) I'm rediscovering the band we all love. I'm going to go tomorrow and feel all the emotions that have been poured out here. I can't wait.
And the new record is really good. Gord can be proud that his final
recording is worthy of his legacy as a songwriter and performer.
