Oliwa and his impact. Flames finally had some guy who scared the crap out of other teams and most importantly from that, it signified the Flames were no longer to be pushed around. Sure, Simon and add a whole bunch of guys that over achieved thet spring,but Oliwa and his presence gave the Flames another dimension for teams to have deal with that season.

Godard took over and was the reigning heavyweight champion of the league for two years.

Marcus Nilsson was another underrated player who got the shaft when Keenan came on board.

Bertuzzi, who showcased his soft hands, pure skill and strength with a lot of highlight reel goals that year.

Drury for finally having a legit skilled player who could take over a game.

Krivokrasov as it meant the end of the first Cale Hulse era.

Tonelli in 1986 was a huge pickup and having his Isles Cup experience helped push the team finally over the Oilers hump.
