I was surprised by the comments thus far.
Monahan not a star? If people have trouble identifying him as a star then they must have some worries about his up-coming 6x6.
The league recognizes Monahan as one of the best centres under 24 as per his selection to the world cup team. I am sort of expecting that Gaudreau-Monahan and a converted C are the #1 line on that team.
It is hard to imagine Brodie playing any better than he has the last 2 years. He carried the team to the playoffs with Gio hurt. When he missed the opening games last season the Flames were awful. Recognition will come over time.
I was also surprised that there was no honorable mention or almost a star for a certain recently acquired d-man.
