There is nothing that I've seen or see in Connor Murphy's game that makes him even close to being worth this much right now, so forgive me if I'm finding that massively hard to believe.
He's got to severely up his game or else this contract will look like something of an embarrassment on Arizona. If he doesn't improve by quite a lot he may as well pay half that $3.85M AAV back to the Yotes. Not that that's right or reasonable but that's what I'd feel like asking him to do if I was the Yotes GM if I saw little progression from him.
