For the died in the wool democrats I doubt this is an issue, but the thing with Bernie is he brought out many new voters. The young college crowd, many of whom have never cast a vote in a federal election. Those are the votes the dems need to worry about alienating.
I wouldnt worry much about these young college crowds who have "never cast a vote". This implies that any new votes would only go to Bernie. The danger is really if these new voters are so pissed off and motivated enough to vote Trump. I dont see it. They're pissed off right now. Will they remain pissed off in November when time comes to vote? I doubt it. By then, Hillary's attack ad machine would be in full force. Donald flaking on his tax returns and the media investigating his Russian ties would kill off their motivation. IMO, the demographics for the 2012 election between Dems and Repubs would largely be the same in 2016, culminating in a Hillary victory.
