Draft Status:
McDonald was considered by the organization as the best goalie in his draft class.
Tuulola was, a month ago, a regional pick that the Flames didn't even take ahead of Lindstrom or Fox or Dube or Mitchell Mattsson.

Upside:
McDonald can be a #1 G,
Tuulola can be a second line winger,

Downside:
McDonald is another career AHLer, except unlike Irving has size and superior positioning.

Tuulola is another career AHLer, who doesn't sniff 0.5 PPG in minor pro and never gets a callup.

Current Status:
McDonald is signed to an NHL contract. He was one of the better goalies in his Junior league.
Tuulola is not signed to an NHL contract. He also was not a big producer for his Junior team in Finlandi, at least in his draft year.

Overall: McDonald is a better prospect than Tuulola.
