I know, it's basically for non-rational reasons, you said that already. I can't really fault that while driving a 40 year old Datsun. I just do not understand what this non-rational allure consists of.

As far as diesel goes - I'd love it. Problem is, I have yet to find many reasonably priced diesel packages (at least new).
