But he has a well documented history of disliking black people, having described them as "lazy." His Obama birtherism (which he is now hoping everyone has forgotten, since it was so unutterably stupid then and now) is not even "veiled" racism--it's plainly racist. His calls to "deport Muslims" are also in my view racist, as are his statements that Mexican immigrants are "criminals" and "rapists", and his comments about the judge hearing the Trump University trial should be offensive to any right-thinking person, not least because that just judge happens to be an American--meaning that Trump is just assuming that anyone with a Latino-sounding name must be biased against him.
The list goes on--as I said, there is always Google if you want to satisfy yourself.
One interesting but not necessarily determinative fact is that Trump's father Fred was once arrested at a KKK rally. That doesn't necessarily make Trump a racist but combined with several justice department actions against Trump's companies for discriminatory practices, it does make you scratch your head a little.
And keep in mind he did not disavow David Duke after receiving that endorsement either.
It's not an accident that he does well among uneducated white males and is not leading in any other demographic.
