If you want to change the specifics of the way your schools run--scheduling and hours and vacations and exactly how you handle various specifics--go for it. But it should absolutely not be allowed for a state to
literally lie to students.
There are things that should be left to states, but other things should be regulated. There should be no reason a poor black child in Mississippi gets a vastly less thorough education than a middle class white child in Massachusetts.
Yes, there should be separation of powers, but states shouldn't be able to restrict the rights of their residents or lie to their students.
