The United States is a supposedly a federated system. The Feds should govern issues that transcend state borders. Because education is an issue that
should know no borders the Feds
should have the responsibility of governing the system. The problem is that Americans don't know how to govern. The idea of the Feds setting standards and then regulating accordingly is just foreign to them. Works in all other industrialized nations in the world, but they just can't figure out how the federated system actually works in their federal system of government.
