I myself was a "one night stand". Basically i took a cardboard box, made it look like a night stand, wore it around my upper body and put a lampshade on my head. I attached things to the top of the nightstand aswell. 5 of the 10 judges picked me to win but one of them told me to get off the stage. I don't think he got it. I must have had my picture taken 20 times though with some hot ladies so it was worth it.
Oh ya...and it worked.

Totally off topic , but this costume reminded me of a disguise a few Aussie buddies of mine made when I was overseas.
They hollowed out a dresser, cut a round hole on the top of it, and placed a motorbike helmet over the hole (the kind of helmet with a full face shield and a visor). Whenever one of them picked up at the bar, the other would race home, hide in the dresser, pull on the helmet, and watch the "show".
Aussies.....quite resourceful in a strange kinda way
