I keep thinking about that and I don't want it to happen, I don't want Rey to be a Skywalker or a Solo. I also go back to the whole Leia would have told her after Han died.
I have a theory that goes back to Revenge of the Sith and the prophesy of the chosen one who was created by the force to bring balance to the force.
There was possibly some accidental fore shadowing in one scene. After the rescue of Palpatine when Yoda and Kenobi and Windu were riding in the Republic transport and talking about the prophesy and Kenobi says something to the effect
"Isn't he the chosen one?"
and Yoda replies
"The prophesy might have been mis-interpreted.
To me, the theory of a supreme force being that brings balance to the force would in effect leave no other force users but himself, a perfect being of darkness and light in balance.
At the end of the trilogy there couldn't really be balance unless balance means that the force is pure light side. Which it would have been as Luke was at the time the only real Force user left.
Instead with the death of Palpatine and Vader we have a force that's completely out of wack, until it tries to balance itself again with Snoke and then Kylo Ren.
When Snoke muses about feeling an awakening, its clearly around the sense of Rey coming into the picture and starting her journey to a larger world and entering into her destiny track.
What if she's the chosen one, not really created by the force, but borne to it non the less. Not a skywalker or even a solo, but just a girl with incredible powers, who's destiny is to create a pure balance of the force in herself, the darkness and the light who ends up in the end seeing the end of Skywalker and Snoke and Ren.
I think that she's a representation of the Celestials that we saw in TCW series, who were imperfect because they were three
The Father - who kept the balance
The Daughter who was pure lightness
The Son - pure darkness.
We saw in the Force Awakens when Rey really wakes up in the fight with Ren that she attacked with fury and aggression which are all hallmarks of the Darkside. She almost took pleasure in cutting up Ren. But at the same time she was also capable of great compassion and empathy with her concern about her friend Finn when he was badly wounded.
What if Rey is what people thought Anakin was?
