You don't have it, rarely see it due to your regular geographic location or it's a second or third evolution. Super rare? Follow the crowds. There are online "lists" too.

I assumed that was the social aspect. People in groups tell each other tips all the time.
Putting "Pokemon go tips/strategies" should work too.
