Sounds like a good guy who was misunderstood. His friends with neck tattoos vouched for him on Global News.

Accounts of Sanjai Prasad’s death at the hands of police paint a picture of two decades of violence across two provinces, ending with him almost killing officers.
But friends of Prasad, who also went by the nickname Kilo, say that’s not the man they knew, and not the man they choose to remember.
Prasad, in his early 40s, died Friday night in a southeast Calgary parkade when one of several officers opened fire on him while he was in what police say was a stolen vehicle with two other men and a woman.
Sources told Postmedia Prasad tried to run over officers and he very nearly succeeded.
His friend Stacey Thompson acknowledged his criminal past, but said he wasn’t violent.
“He always went willingly — he never fought with them,” Thompson said.
“He was always polite to them.
“I can’t see him doing what they said because there were his friends in the car and he cared so much about his friends — he would never put them in a situation like that.”
In stark contrast, Postmedia’s sources described Prasad as “a nightmare wherever he goes” and criminal records out of Alberta and B.C. show offences including extortion, fraud, drugs, weapons, resisting arrest and violence including spousal assault.
