Default All Female cast of Ghostbusters announced

I thought it was a very fun movie. Like the original, a lot of the humour lands and a lot of it doesn't. But it was an enjoying watch for me from start to finish, and that's really all that I felt it tried to be.

My biggest worry was that McCarthy's presence would be too large in this film and that she would be annoying, but she was nicely reigned in and did not overdo it.

I don't think this movie is any worse than the original. I actually enjoyed it more - but that might be a function of the expectations I had when I saw both. I didn't see the original ghostbusters until I was maybe 25. I didn't really understand all the praise it gets. Don't get me wrong - entertaining movie, but nothing more than that.

Edit: I also want to say that it makes me happy that Paul Feig is enjoying as much success as he is as a filmmaker. He has a pretty good track record. I don't think it happens very often that a show runner (in his case with Freaks and Geeks) jumps into the movie world and does as well as he has.
