I haven't seen any victim blaming though? If anything I see a lot of people (my self included) who just feel terrible about this situation and moreso for the innocent little girl who ended up dead. I think that people assume that the mother had some kind of involvement with seedy characters and that might lead to an explanation of why she was killed (but clearly doesn't justify that or make it any less horrible). The daughter seems to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time sort of thing, and its just incredibly sad.
