What would be the biggest problem playing in Calgary?

Calgary has the #4 worst travel schedule in the league. Last year they traveled 48,341 miles.

There were 11 teams that traveled 10,000 miles less than the Flames.

Who does not travel well?

Johnny Gaudreau... he had 7 pts 5 on 5 on the road ....tied with Jokipakka for 305th spot in the league.

As for pts per 60 minutes of ice time 5 on 5 he was ranked 354th tied with Jeff Petry

Johnny Hockey lead the league with 38 pts 5 on 5 at home..... second was Sid Crosby with 32.

Both Gaudreau's camp (agents, families) and the Flames have to be somewhat worried about the awful road performance..... and how much it is related to travel.

Had he been able to do even half as well on the road as home (19 pts) as the Flames 2nd worst road warrior Monahan did, he would have added 12 pts to his total and been 2nd in scoring with 90 pts.

Does playing in Calgary reduce the chances Gaudreau of winning the Hart and Art Ross and making All star teams?
