I mostly have been fishing in and around the Lakeland area since that's where my parents live, mostly going for walleye and pike. We went out to Meadow Lake PP in Saskatchewan and the fishing was slooooow. I remember it being so much better when I was a kid.
That being said, I'm looking to put together a family trip to the mountains (probably closer to Jasper than Banff) and I was wondering if anyone knows of any lakes where you can catch walleye. From my minimal knowledge of the mountains, I think all the fish there are various trout. Also, it would be awesome if the lake in question was near (within ~1 hour) of a decent golf course and some hiking trails.
If you've got any knowledge that can help me it would appreciated. Also, if you've got any questions about fishing/golfing in and around the Lakeland post them and I'll try to help you.
