Their tea is stupid hot. Have scalded myself a couple of times, just from the cup dripping. I usually let a tea from them sit 20 minutes before I can drink it. Poor kid.

Jeebus. Ice. NEVER ice, it'll do as much and more, damage. Remove the clothing from the area to stop the burn, don't pat the area with rough paper napkins, you'll cause the skin to break down more plus introduce fibers to the burn area that could cause infection. If you're going to apply water, it should be cool, not cold - just a bit above tepid and apply/pour gently, then cover with a clean and dry cloth or sheet and get to a hospital if it appears large and likely more than a 1st degree burn/scald.
