Played Wintergreen for the first time ever yesterday. Not a drop of rain during our round (teed off at 1:03). Drainage wise the course was about as good as could be expected after all the rain, very soggy and lots of fairway spots with puddles. Somehow I managed to avoid being in anything like that with my shots. Traps were tough, like hitting through heavy clay, cost me 4 strokes over the round. The greens were really nice, and were drying out as the round progressed.
Played from the whites and shot an 88, if I could take back 4 holes (two 8's and two 7's) I would have been closer to 80.
