People are in a bit of a nervosa about Andersson's fitness. And that's fair. We all remember Ryan Howse.

But for me I see it, Andersson had no difficulty skating "Drew Doughty" minutes against a potent Nylander/McLeod line in the OHL Playoffs. At the end of the day fitness in July is not fitness in September or October. Last year Rasmus was signed to his ELC in September, that suggests to me they were pleased with his progress from 2015 dev camp. Andersson had a long OHL playoff and probably took it too easy afterwards. He should not be excused for it but at the end of the day I have to look at what I saw in that playoff and it was a player who was absolutely dominant at that level not just offensively but everywhere. I have zero doubt Andersson is in for a huge season in the AHL. The facilities and staff at his fingertips will have a positive influence on him not unlike Austin Caroll, another guy who had to learn to be a pro as Huska alluded to. Junior was a poor environment fkr Andersson but I don't question his commitment, and I definitely don't question his talent. If Kylington were not looking to hold Duncan Keith type upside I would say Andersson were our best D prospect... he may have Mark Giordano type upside.
