No, it would not be insane to put OHL ROOKIE* Matthew Tkachuk in the NHL. Also, how do you know there's no way he makes the Flames? He is more than capable of doing so, IMO. He can prove that he isn't simply a beneficiary of his line mates at Training Camp.
