It's not just an old timers thing, I hate all these 80's movies remakes and I'm 25. It's just that going to the movies is expensive and I need to be sold on the trailer, and a crappy looking remake of a great movie isn't gonna make me want to part with my money.
Going back to that G&M article, it's also a shame this guy seems to hold up Paul Feig comedies as the apex of female driven comedies when there's so many actually funny shows (Girls on HBO being a big example, and Broad City on Comedy Central) that are much more worthy of recognition.
