Even if the data was correct and twice as many white people were shot by police than black people, it would still suggest that a black person would be more likely to be shot since they are less than 50% of the population in the US.
I think there probably is some truth though that a white officer shooting a black person is more likely to get attention than a black officer shooting a black person. I wonder what the real statistics are and if they even track that kind of thing.
