It's hard to compare forwards and defensemen but don't pretend like it isn't at the very least extremely close between Shinkaruk and Wotherspoon as to which is more NHL ready. I personally would lean towards Hunter because in 2 years as a pro he has been more successful than Wotherspoon has been in 3 years and that is both at the AHL and NHL levels.
