Oh go away already. I seriously doubt he actually meant we are better off going extinct than deal with world problems, and you know that.

Also, people need to lay off with the "letting fear win" comments. I'm really sure the other guy isn't overly bothered about missing a trip to all mighty Idaho, nor thinks forgoing visits to the United States in the future will have much impact on his life. You guys make it sound like he's quitting his job and locking himself indoors to hide from the NRA monster. His kids are scared and they don't want to go, that's more than fair. When I was young I was scared of going to school for first the first couple weeks after Columbine. I had to go because, well, it was school, not an optional trip that won't mean much in the end. There's plenty of other places to go on vacation.

So just because you and I won't let incidents like this prevent us from going on optional visits to the States, it doesn't mean it's the wrong answer. I don't want to go to places like Iraq and Syria because of the extreme violence, does that make me a paranoid fear monger too? If you don't feel safe somewhere, why go if you don't need to?
