So much for this being a bit of fun.
EDIT: For the record, I think Jankowski has shown us enough now to justify Feaster having drafted him in the first round. In MY opinion his trajectory over his time in college suggests he's a good bet to be a solid top six centre at least - and really, have we seen enough of Tkachuk for us to say anything more than him being a solid bet to be a top 6 player? He did play for a stacked London team and there are the questions (perhaps not so legitimate) about whether or not he was being carried by his line mates to some degree.
On top of the fact he plays centre as opposed to the wing, Jankowski skates better than Tkachuk, is bigger than Tkachuk, and by most accounts he's learning how to use that size to his advantage. This is not to take anything away from Tkachuk, because I think he's going to be a good player for a long time, but I think the gap between the two is a lot smaller than others think it is.
In the end, it's a toss up I think, and since I have a bit of a soft spot for the underdog, I went with Jankowski.
Can we get back to having fun with this now?
