We do still have some residual going on due to the Erixon trade/fiasco. He became Horak plus 2 x 2011 2nd round picks, which became Wotherspoon and Granlund....and as we all know, Granlund became Shinkaruk.
Even still, the 2009 Flames draft is now KAPUT.
Also, with Bill Arnold getting cut loose as well, all that's left from the 2010 draft class is Micheal Ferland. Reinhart, Leach, Arnold, Ramage, and Holland all Flamed out.
So the Sutter regime draft legacy leaves us with:
Backlund (2007)
Brodie (2008)
Bouma (2008)
Ferland (2010)

You could say that Ferland won the Flames the Quarterfinals against Vancouver in 2015. You'd probably be wrong, but you could say it.
If that's true, at least Sutter managed to contribute to one playoff series victory during his time exclusively as the GM of the Flames.
