i think folks, myself included, take this dev camp way too seriously. Heck, even the prospect tournament is just a series of scrimmages of players who barely, and in most cases, have never ever played together.
The real assessment are the preseason games, where you have at least some definite NHL caliber folks in the mix, and the potential of being cut the next day are a driving force for the young guys, in some cases even the vets.
It's exciting to watch the kids and see how the look, especially as we are getting into the summer and that hockey craving is kicking back in after the draft/july 1st, but hints of injuries, a guy looking out of breath, a big play here, or lack of noticable play can't really be used to evaluate anything just yet.
