He's not a terrible goaltender but he's so mediocre that he's deep in a pool full of mediocre to average goaltenders that teams can pick and choose from when they need to find a stop gap in their AHL or ECHL organizations.

Yes. He had a very good AHL season but even that season was not "dominating" in comparison to several other AHL goalies. He was the best goalie prospect we had so fair to be excited about him. But almost every team has one just like him. And a lack of consistency even in the AHL really hurt him. BT's fear of losing him on waivers at start of season was unfounded.
