I want to apologize to Scorpion. I wish I would have taken the same stance as New Era the first few times I cringed at his posts.

Scorpion, you PM'd me shortly after blocking you asking me what I thought you were doing wrong. I never responded. New Era's stance is pretty much exactly how I see it.

You are likely a solid guy in real life, perhaps even funny too. One thing that cant be denied, you have passion for the Flames and I certainly appreciate that about you.

I thank New Era for having the jam for what he said, because hes bang on. He had the balls to say something that I didnt.

With this Gillies situation, its a very sensitive situation for die hard Flames fans. We all want that next elite Goalie and Gillies is our best shot. For him to have chronic, recurring hip issues is devastating for a franchise.

So to make statements about this topic that are unfounded, IE heard from a guy who was talking to a guy or whatever, is simply irresponsible. And why do it? To cause panic? To get people freaking out? I dont think that was the aim of Scorpion.

I think his aim was exactly what New Era said, to break news and perhaps come across as someone who people can trust in their word. Like Sureloss.

A few posters here do it. But Scorpion is very in your face and again, as New Era pointed out, its like that little brother who just wont go away.

You know that little brother is going to turn into something pretty great. Or hope he will, anyway.. but has a ways to go. The only way to get him there is by the truth. And sometimes kicking his butt when he over steps. I feel this is that kind of over stepping.

There is no validity to his statement about Gillies. So at this point its attention seeking fear mongering.

Those who feel people need to lay off of Scorpion, I understand where youre coming from because I feel internet bullying is an easy way for a weak person to feel superior to someone without running the risk of retaliation. Or its limited anyway.

This is not the case. Scorpion has put himself in this situation time and time again. Its many peoples fault for not nipping it in the bud and guiding him properly through this community of CP. Which I know first hand, is a very tough community, well informed and strongly opinionated community.

Scorpion, for your own sake, see what New Era is trying to say. Dont look at the posts trying to defend you. Look at the criticism. I promise you will learn more out of life from criticism than you will from people pumping your times with bad air...

So again, I apologize to you. Im going to remove you from my ignore list and try and bring more positivity to responding to you. But you have to try and understand where people are coming from when they say they are getting annoyed.
