No doubt about it, Gelinas has been demoted. He's not our new coaches guy, but is someone the organisation for now, wants to be kept around, so they've found a job for him.
I do wonder how excited about this Gelinas is himself. But outside of my like for Gelinas because of his playing days here and that he seems like a nice guy, not sure we've gotten any data points that suggest from a coaching perspective losing him would be a huge loss to the team (I guess the fact Tree and Co. want him around is an indication that they see value..............or an indication that they are aware of his popularity with the fan base). I'm more concerned that Gully be given full control over his coaches and staff, as that is far more important factor to success IMO, can't have the head coach being micro managed on big decisions.
