It's hard enough being so far from the Flames down here in south Florida. I only get to see them live one game a year, the rest is on t.v. or online. Not only that, but I have absolutely zero opportunity to watch 99% of the junior games or any other games at a minor league or development league level, so I can only ever evaluate players once they've made it to the NHL. You may not realize this, but hockey coverage down here is spotty at best, and nonexistent at worst. All the info I get about the team and young players is completely virtual and I have to rely on people like Caged Great and others to give me an accurate assessment of players that attend these camps. Without these types of people/posters, I would have zero idea of what to expect from the Flames in the future.
This is why I love this site so damn much. The conversations had on this board, along with the information provided by knowledgable posters, makes me feel like I'm still back in Calgary. It's a little piece of home that will always be with me, and I know I'm not the only expat who feels this way. I hope it's not presumptuous to speak for them by saying: Thank you, thank you all so much. It means so much to us.

Echo these sentiments. I don't typically have this hindrance, since I do live in Calgary, but I can't be up at Winsport today or tomorrow, so thanks thanks
thanks Caged Great for all your help today.
