I think the Calgary bias is to look for bust signs way too quick. He didn't finish off strong last season, but it's his second year. If he can get a little faster he'll really take off, I bet.

My question was posed not on the supposition that Draisaitl is a failed prospect. He is a good player, and I think he will be fine in the long run. My question was posed regarding his role on that team, especially now with Hall gone. I think it will take more time and prove to be much more difficult for him to progress without a seasoned scorer like Hall to play with, and I think he and Lucic are too slow to play together. I will not be surprised to see him take a step back next year, and I think that another 50 point season is unlikely. He'll get there eventually, but this summer's changes have not helped him at all.
