I'm sad Sieloff didn't work out here. He brings an edge that's different from the stable of puck movers the Flames have developed.
I do wonder how prospects feel about the numbers game. The Flames have a bunch of D prospects but maybe one slot on the team, only if Smid goes LTIR. I know people will say "well if they can't beat out X then...." but I've never seen a prospect actually push a vet off the team. ( I've seen vets play themselves off the team but they are always given a chance).
F is more open with 2 clear spots. I'd love to see them stay open and have serious competition among the prospects to fill them.
