Can Draisaitl even match his production from last year, to say nothing of improving upon it? Draisaitl went on a scoring tear when McDavid was injured while playing with Hall on the top line, and finished the season with 19 goals and 51 points. When McDavid was back from injury he scored only 7 goals and 14 points in his last 32-games.
Draisaitl really crashed in the last half of last year. He wasn't terrible but he wasn't good either, he was better then his rookie year when he was dreadful. I think that teams figured out how to take advantage of his less then blazing speed.

He still has a lot to prove.
