When I read these posts about people saying their union isn't letting it's members vote on deals the first question that comes to my mind is: what are you doing about that? The members call the shots, not their business agents or president. Unless you have given them the authority to decide what offers you are allowed to vote on, in which case if it is not working to the members satisfaction, put a motion forward at your next offer vote and then vote to revoke that power. They won't let you? File a duty to fair representation charge with the labour board. There's no doubt that corruption and other things can happen in unions, the same as any organization. But if you aren't trying to hold those people accountable when you can, you are not part of the solution, you are part of problem.
