Not mishandled, just unlucky that he was ill/injured enough to drop him out of an everyday role with the club and then it was tough to win it back with all the guys ahead of him.
Brad seems to be addressing the 'numbers game' as well by letting so many RFAs go. There will be a little less pressure on those that are still there.
He never had a bad attitude, but I bet you it was tough for him. He's hasn't been able to play a full season of hockey yet in his career, and his window is closing.

Yeah, it's just one of those things. I'm not trying to assign blame or anything, some of his comments just struck me as slightly bitter, but I might be reading too much into it. Sometimes it's up to the players to help fix that numbers game by playing so good that you force the GM's hand. No one really did that in Stockton this year, and it's no ones fault, it just is what it is. I think you're right about the RFAs though, BT is basically doing a soft reset to open up spots for guys.
