Firsthand: since I've gotten my medical license my life has drastically improved. It actually is medicinal.
Ailments:
-nerve damage
-muscle spasms
-insomnia
-mood swings
Since I started cannabis all of that started healing. On top of that I moved my career opportunities forward exponentially and now have numerous jobs (that are not killing me). I have scans of my neck (from December) showing the injuries accrued and 7 months later it's way better (~80% healed). Cannabis on it's own didn't do everything but it provided the motivation after work to put in another hour or two doing yoga, eating healthy. getting organized and working on networking/career opportunities.
Earlier this month I had a job interview that I was going to skip out on because I was suffering so badly due to a neck strain and a few puffs changed my perspective, did the interview medicated and was offered the job on the spot with an international software company (I'm not advocating this but in this specific situation it truly did help and now I have $ in my bank account because of that day).
It's improved my life so dramatically in every way I recommend anyone with severe nerve/muscle issues consider it. I went from miserable SOB to kind of normal and my life is getting better every day. If I never got the medical license I'd still be working at a deadend job depressed with no hope. Obviously it's not bereft of negative effects (and by no stretch would I ever insinuate that) but from my perspective it truly is medicinal in the right circumstance. I might quit when the neck issues go away but I couldn't be happier now, it's like a second chance at life.
