At any rate, it won't matter much with regards to Jankowski. Bollig would only be in the way of a guy like Hathaway. That, in itself, isn't a bad thing, as guys like Hathaway sometimes need that push from below them and an occasional benching as a reminder that they have to play full-out all the time (though, in Hathway's case, full-out seems to be his baseline).

Jankowski, Poirier, Shinkaruk, etc. - these guys will not be affected by the Bolligs. Ferland might if his play drops for a few consecutive games. Bouma as well.

I guess the more appropriate time to figure out how great of a chance Jankowski has at cracking the lineup this season, would be after the UFA period until Treliving announces he is 'done' and doesn't think he will add anyone else from that pool. Once we really know how many bodies will be there for training camp, we can have a better guess at how likely some of the younger guys are to making the team.
I'm not sure about that. Only Burke said that and Trei this off-season has done things opposite of what Burke was saying.
Black and blue hockey, big players at the draft? They went IQ and skill.
Notion that Carlyle ends up in Calgary? Nope, they go get GG.

Bollig to play more? I highly doubt the new coach would be forced to play a plug like Bollig more.
With Ferland/Bouma/Chiasson/Bennett/Hathaway/Shinkaruk possibly already in the bottom 6 (Monahan/Backlund as top 2 Cs but I'm sure Bennett will play as much), you don't need useless Bollig.
