Funny, you can say that about any individual player on the Flames last year. And each time it's nonsense.
Nobody is saying Colborne is "so good," and I'd be one of the first to say that a contract in the 4 million range is too much...
...but to suggest not qualifying him with the interest of just letting him go entirely? That is stupid. Colborne is not the sort of player you just let go for nothing and easily replace. That's hideously bad asset management.
What do people expect from a middle six winger? Honestly? Because apparently 40 points and a sound positional game isn't it. So what is it?
