If you can find a cost effective upgrade on Ortio you do it. If that doesn't come, and Ortio is not performing, the Flames do have a possible ace in the hole with Rittich. Obviously needs an adjustment period, but he could be a decent fallback position if Ortio under performs.

If the Flames can't find a backup better than Ortio, they aren't looking very hard.
Chad Johnson, Jhonas Enroth, Al Montoya and Carter Hutton are all significantly better than Ortio and UFAs, all of whom would probably consider us a good landing spot because of the potential for them to play a decent number of games.
