Not the whole world, no. Just Manchuria, China, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
And Britain didn't colonize and pillage Eastern and Southern Europe, where most of the EU immigrants flooding into the country come from. When Poland joined the EU in the 2004, the British government forecast 80K Poles would immigrate to the UK over the next decade. 600K came. No doubt they were good for the economy on the whole. But those numbers didn't inspire a lot of confidence that anyone really understood are was in control of the situation.
