I have no idea what this means for Ireland, but it's not good. The border between the North and the Republic, basically non-existent since the beginning of the peace process, now becomes important again. It will be the border between the UK and the EU. It potentially becomes an entry point for migrants wanting to enter the UK and therefore will likely have to be policed again, creating problems for trade and the everyday passage of residents. This isn't a straight border like the US/Canada border. There are roads that dip into the North, then back to the South, then curve back to the North and so on.
This is a nightmare.
