Kipper was 3rd on the depth chart in San Jose before he was given an opportunity.
Turned out the guy was a pretty awesome goalie.
So , okay what if we get Bishop ? What's the price tag? The gamble involved? His history in regular season is great but playoffs not so much.
To many questions for me alone and I'm not sold on this guy.....glad it's just a rumor.

I think we have been experimenting since Kipper left, trying to find a gem that turns into a number one. Could be management is tired of that approach I guess. Could be a good year to sign a Reimer on a 3 year deal and hope he is a decent number one until Gillies is ready in a couple of seasons.
I just get the opinion from the rumblings and other external pressures (expansion, cap troubles etc.) management sees this as maybe the best opportunity to pick up a bonafide number 1 - who is that is the current conundrum.
I sense this is a bigger priority to management than more depth draft picks or even our obsession with a star RW'er.
