Because he's not flashy. His game is quiet and solid.

He's the best defenceman the Flames have and an easy top 10 in the NHL. He makes his partners look better (sometimes significantly so).

EDIT: And no, him and the 6th isn't even the ask for moving up in the draft. If a GM asks Treliving for that, they're basically saying "Hey, I think you're a joke of a GM, how about this trade?"

Great way to lose an ear.
