Bouma is a strong defensive player that will have a small shelf life due to his play style.
He is considered Injury prone and is over paid to play a 4th line role which I believe is the correct role for him in the NHL.
He never really had top 6 potential and I think its safe to assume that for the most part he is at his peak. Could he be a random 20g guy in any of the next 5 years? Maybe.. but its more likely that 30-60 games a year putting up 20 or less points.
If you can get a 3rd or 4th for him I think you do it and make room for Hathaway, Grant and Jankowski.
That being said I still wouldnt trade to moveup. We got Kylington in the 2nd last year. Who is to say we wont be able to use those assets on something more realistic to get whoever falls this year.
If Chychun fell to the 2nd round and we traded all our 2nds to moveup 2 spots it would be ####ty
