Things take time, but if they knew who they wanted on Monday, this likely could have been done by now (maybe it is). I agree. Treliving isn't the type of person to put off to tomorrow what can be done today. If the person he wants is available and also wants to coach the Flames, it would be a done deal. I think it's perfectly reasonable to think that one or both sides (whoever the other side is) wasn't completely on-board.
