Ok I just watched or at least attempted watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I have never been so bored in my life. I actually got it as I read that MMF had liked the movie, and I have somewhat similar tastes to movies as him, but I have never been so bored in my life.
Was this movies supposed to be funny? thought provoking? was it trying to be boring.
I wish I just watched Dawn of the Dead again....

You aren't the first person who I have recommended that movie to and hated it. I guess its just one of those movies *shurgs* I dunno, I enjoyed it. I was actually skeptical going into it because Jim Carrey annoys me, but I still liked it. As of right now (pre Oscar season hype) it is one of the favourite movies of 2004. I don't know if it was trying to be thought provoking at all though, it didn't really make me think or anything. I just thought it was a neat movie thats all. It was well shot and I thought Carrey did a great job. He is a fine actor when he isn't trying to be "on" all the time.
Dawn of the Dead is sitting on a chair in my living room right now, I have no idea how it got there but I might watch it soon before whoever brought it over comes to get it.
Critically acclaimed movies that suck? This is an easy one, Titanic.
